Where I serve in eastern North Carolina.
Based in Wilmington for over 36 years, I represent injury victims and their families across the counties east of I-95, meeting in person when you can travel and working remotely when you can't.

My license to practice is North Carolina only, even though I am also admitted in New York and New Jersey.
I handle cases across the six counties east of Interstate 95 that surround Wilmington — New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Onslow, Duplin, and Bladen — along with the cities and towns inside them.
Local knowledge decides cases here. North Carolina's contributory negligence rule bars any recovery if the defense proves you were even one percent at fault, and the county where your case is filed sets the judges, the local defense bar, and the insurance adjusters I am working against.

Remote representation
Not every case starts in the same room as my office.
John and Margaret were driving home to New York after visiting their daughter near Myrtle Beach when a drunk driver ran a red light at a Leland intersection. Margaret suffered a broken hip and a concussion. John broke a rib and injured his shoulder.
Their own New York attorney could not take a North Carolina case, but he knew me from the years I practiced in New York and sent them my way.
We worked their case largely by phone and mail while they recovered at home in New York. My legal assistant handled the paperwork from start to finish, and I called with updates as the case moved through the North Carolina system.
