910.256.1233Goals of Personal Injury Litigation"A client has the right to be informed at every stage of the litigation process."The ultimate goal of any personal injury lawsuit is to make the client whole again. When that is not possible, our goal is to fix what can be fixed, help what can be helped, and to make up for what cannot be fixed or helped. An important goal of litigation is to provide the client with a fund of money that will enable them to pay off past medical bills, replace lost wages (past and future), and compensate them for pain and suffering (past and future). It may also provide a client with the necessary funds to provide for a life care plan that will enable a client to buy equipment, 24 hour nursing care, or even structural changes to a household or vehicle. Our Court system is not a lottery. It is an important place where important things get done. It is a place where an individual can take on the most powerful institutions in a community and obtain fairness and justice. It is not to be abused, but treasured. |
